World Book Day – 6th March 2025

At Glebedale School, we are using World Book Day as an opportunity to further cultivate a love of reading among our students. Our aim is to engage them more deeply with the world of literature, highlighting how books can both entertain and educate.

To celebrate, we are hosting a range of activities throughout the day. One of the highlights will be ‘What Are We Reading?’, an interactive oracy game where students will have the chance to identify what staff members are reading for a chance to win a prize. Additionally, staff are embedding curriculum links to a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts across all subjects, helping students see the direct connection between reading and their learning.

Each student has also chosen a book based on their interests, which will be gifted to them on the day. We hope this will be a memorable and enjoyable experience, inspiring them to look forward to World Book Day each year.
